RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLOR

Counsellor/ Social Worker

About the role

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced counsellor to work as part of a cohesive multidisciplinary team.

  • You will deliver high quality evidence-based counselling services to individuals, couples and families.

  • Application of a range of evidence-based clinical interventions.

  • Participating in clinical supervision and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure high quality service delivery.

  • Full time and sessional positions available.

Competencies

  • Counselling experience with individuals, couples and families

  • Great interpersonal, rapport building and communication skills

  • Personal centred, strength based and trauma informed approach to your practice

  • Knowledge of current theories, trends, practice and literature relating to individual, couple and family counselling.

  • Capacity to build strong relationships with referrers and other relevant service providers

  • Computer literacy, including management of clinical databases and booking systems.

  • Commitment to ongoing learning

  • Professional association membership (PACFA, AASW or ACA).

  • National Police Check completed within the last 3 months

  • You will deliver high quality evidence based, recovery focused therapy to a wide range of presentations including PTSD, anxiety, depression and other conditions.

  • Conducting risk assessments and risk management planning.

  • Administering assessments, developing case formulations and treatment plans.

  • Application of a range of evidence-based clinical interventions.

  • Participating in clinical case review meetings, supervision and multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure high quality service delivery.

  • Full time and sessional positions available.

Competencies

  • A clinical skill set that prioritises working with brief therapy models

  • Professional warmth in conjunction with strong clinical engagement skills

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and their family, referrers and other relevant service providers

  • Computer literacy, including management of clinical databases and booking systems

  • Minimum bachelor level degree in a related allied mental health qualification; combined with professional registration (AHPRA) or full membership of a relevant professional body (AASW) and mental health accreditation (or willingness to obtain) for OT’s and AASW’s.

Receptionist

RECEPTIONIST

About the Role

As the face of our service, you can expect to be a valued and integral member of our team performing the following tasks;

  • Clinic reception duties, first point of customer contact and service, answering and directing telephone calls, bookings, new patient information collection, processing payments, issuing and receiving forms/letters, relaying internal information.

  • Assisting clinicians with set up / resourcing assessments.

  • Keeping our clinic environment welcoming and comforting for our clinicians and guests.

Essential Criteria

  • Positive and professional manner 

  • Excellent customer service and presentation

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Good level of computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office 

  • Flexibility with hours having the availability of 1 closing shift of the clinic at 7.30pm Monday evening.

  • Open to learning new things

  • Available minimum 15 hours/ week​
